R.P.S.B. Society Ltd. 2007-8 Newcomer Sweepstakes Competition.

Because of the Equine Influenza outbreak many of the qualifying shows have had to cancelled, and it is the decision of the National Board of Directors to remove the necessity to qualify for this years final championship.  This means that any pony entered in the 2007/8 Newcomer Competition (Blue Card) is no longer eligible for Newcomer Classes, but is automatically qualified for the State Newcomer Championship at a date yet to be finalised.

The 2008/9 Newcomer Sweepstakes Competition is now Open for Entries - competition started 1st February, and runs until 31st January 2009.  Comptitors will have a Green Card this year, and must enter prior to competing (ALLOW AT LEAST TWO WEEKS FOR PROCESSING!) Cost is $22.00, and owners must provide a statutory declaration to the effect that the pony has not competed under saddle prior to 1st February, 2008.  Ponies entered in this competition CANNOT compete in other Riding Pony classes (Leading rein, First Ridden, Ridden Show Pony, Ridden Show Hunter Pony, and Show Pony ridden by a Child) except Led, but can compete in Open Ridden classes if a Riding Pony Newcomer Class is not offered .  Ponies must be ridden in a snaffle bit, and the competition card must be produced for signing by judge.  Owner of the pony must be a financial member of the Society, and the Pony a registered Riding Pony.

Please note the following changes to the rules and regulations of the Riding Pony Stud Book Society Ltd.

 Under REGISTRATIONS:

Paragraph 7 rule has been amended to:

“Only stock of a straight colour are eligible for registration. When applying to register adult animals, proof of breeding must be provided (that is, a service certificate, or copy of other registration papers).”

 Under PENALTIES:   Penalty #4, 5, 6, and 9 amended to:

First offence: Costs + fine up to $5000-00 and / or suspension up to a maximum of 12 months.

Second and subsequent offences: Costs +fine up to $10000-00 and / or suspension

WINTER SHOW 2007  Results

This Winter 2007 Show was held at Castle Hill Showground, Saturday 4th August 2007, a bright, sunny day, allowing the ideal conditions for exhibitors to present their beautifully prepared ponies to the judges.
