Ruby was the first foal born by Kolbeach Freedom (Clancy), and has been a winner from the minute she set foot in the showring - the NSW Allbreeds Foal Show, where she took the Riding Pony, Partbred Welsh and Arabian Riding Pony championships, the Arabian Derivative Supreme, and the Supreme Exhibit of Show.  Reserve to her on all occasions was Rathowen Free Spirit, second foal for Clancy. She was shown by Jamie  McCormack.

Expertly shown by Daniel Harvey, her next major appearance was at the National Arabian Show where she went Champion Arabian Riding Pony, followed by  Sydney Royal where she was placed in all her pony classes and won her Part welsh class, and then went Champion Part Welsh Mare. Unloading from the trailer after this success she twisted her hind leg and was sore for a while and turned out.   Her marvellous movement is her main asset, and on recovery, this then took her to Australian Champion Arabian Riding Pony Filly at the 2010 Australian Arabian Championships, once again shown by Daniel.  She will shortly travel to Queensland to be shown by Kelly Bond.  Her dam presented us with a younger full sister, a dark liver chestnut filly which has been named Rathowen Claret Rose, and Russet is back in foal to Rathowen By George.
